IPO competition is a test institution given by World Canine Organisation FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale) for working dogs protection activity. Appbreviation ”IPO” comes form German words International Prüfungs Ordnung (International Test Institution). IPO competition includes three sections: A) Tracking, B) Obedience and C) Protection. IPO competition requires a very good physical health and strenghts from a dog. In addition dog’s requirements covers also outstanding characteristics such as will to fight, will to defend, excellent mental structure and ability to be handled. As a whole protection provides a fine overall picture of dog’s character and ability to be trained.
