Animal
welfare acts by Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry
This law and these acts aim to
protect animals from unnecessary suffer and pain. The purpose of the law
includes also to boost animal welfare and good treatment. It is forbidden
to cause unnecessary pain and affliction to animals. Furthermore the
purpose of this law is the general well-being of animals and considering
the physiological and behavioristic. needs.
Spiked,
pronged and electric collars
Please note, that the usage of
training collars (so called spiked, pronged or electric) other than
regular chain collars is forbidden in Finland (Finlex
396/1996 14§, kohta 2).
